Ron Artest’s post-game interview

I hate the Lakers. I hate them because you’re really not allowed to be a Blazers fan and not hate the Lakers. I also hate them because on my last day in Vegas, I had already checked out of my room and I was exhausted and hung over and all I wanted to do was go home, but my flight didn’t leave for like 5 hours, so I sat down on a couch in the lobby of the Planet Hollywood Towers and started watching the Suns-Lakers game on TV. I was just sitting there, minding my own business, trying not to barf, when like 9 Lakers fans came out of no where and and all sat on the couch with me and started screaming and jumping around every time any Laker so much as touched the ball. It was the first quarter, too. Things were not that exciting yet. This one guy kept yelling “COUNT IT!” every time they made a shot… and then the ball wouldn’t go in and I would be like, “SEE?? THAT’S WHY YOU DON’T “COUNT IT” BEFORE IT’S ACTUALLY GONE IN.”

I might have been a little moody.

Anyway, I decided right then and there that, no matter what happened, I didn’t want these jackasses to be happy.

So, yeah. I was bummed last night.

I will say, however, that Ron Artest thanking his psychiatrist almost made it worth it.

What would have really made it worth it was if Kobe and Vujacic had just gone for it and started making out. You can tell they wanted to.
