Dead dog…. Not really :) (Taken with instagram)
This does not bode well for the air quality in our house tonight….
I’m scared.
Current garden status. We’ve planted strawberries, peas, beans, some herbs and some flowers so far. (Taken with instagram)
We got a laser pointer toy for Arthur. I’ve heard that they’re cruel because they just make the cat feel frustrated and become depressed (how did anyone determine this?) so we also got him a chirping mouse toy that we can toss out if we sense he’s losing hope.
It’s very entertaining.
The best game to play with the laser point is “Try to trick Arthur into attacking Cody” It’s only worked once so far, but. oh, it was glorious.

Target acquired. Launching cat missile.

Inter-species friendship alert!!!
Arthur and Cody are currently touching paws while chillin on the couch. Cuuuuuuuuute!
Oh man.
You know what I said earlier about Cody watching out the window for J to get home?
Well, he’s doing it right now. Every time the bus goes by he sits up hopefully, and when J doesn’t appear he lies back down disappointed. Only, today, J is working late! I tried to tell Cody that he won’t be home for awhile, but it’s like he doesn’t understand english or something!
It’s like a live action version of that awful Futurama scene…
(Although J WILL eventually come home. Thank goodness)
Cody has developed a very cute habit lately.
Every day around 5:30pm, after I’ve walked him and fed him his dinner, he settles in on the couch. When he hears the southbound bus go by and sits up and watches out the window for a few minutes. If J doesn’t appear he lays back down and listens for the next bus. Eventually J does come walking up the sidewalk and he gets so excited that I have no choice but to open the door and let him run out to greet his favorite person.
Dogs are just the best, aren’t they?
So, I just looked out our back window and discovered two… wolves in our yard?
Okay, so they were just wolf-looking dogs. One of them had a tag so I called the owner and she came and collected them.
While I waited for her to show up, I kept them in our mudroom. Cody was mildly interested in what all the hub-bub was about. Arthur didn’t like it one bit!

Another exciting day over here!
It cracks me up how sad and guilty Cody looks when I get out the vacuum.
You know what, buddy? You SHOULD look guilty. If it weren’t for your continuously shedding ass I wouldn’t have to do this HALF as often!
Here’s a picture of Arthur biting Cody’s butt!
Arthur pretty much just ignored Cody for the first 5 or 6 months he lived with us. Suddenly he’s decided to start messing with him. I guess he finally realized what a wimp Cody is?
He likes to lay on the corner of the bed and attack Cody’s tail as he walks by. It’s very entertaining.
